Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung-ryeol) announced on the 15th that its subsidiary Entertake Co., Ltd. (CEO Oh Seong-min) has been finally selected for TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup), a private investment-led technology startup support program by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

TIPS is a program that discovers and supports promising startups with innovative technology. Selected companies receive up to 800 million won in research and development (R&D) and commercialization funding. Through this research and development, Entertake plans to develop an AI-based personalized hair diagnosis and coloring recommendation system, along with a smart hair beauty device to which this system can be applied.

Entertake has been accumulating core technologies such as cartridge-based automatic mixing technology and safe heating while developing ‘HIKE’, a home-use smart hair coloring device. Based on these technologies and development experience, during the TIPS R&D period, the company plans to integrate the entire coloring process—from diagnosis to recommendation to treatment—into a single platform by building the professional smart hair device ‘EKARAK-Pro’ and an AI-based diagnostic solution. The goal is to establish a B2B2C hair care ecosystem that provides consistent quality service in both homes and hair salons by automating and standardizing the entire process, including user hair condition analysis, treatment recipe management, and cloud-based data integration, based on this integrated platform.
